Autobiography Of Leslie
I was born on December 28, 1973, in Baytown, TX. I am very close to my family and spent a lot of time traveling with my family and friends during my childhood. My parents have been happily married for 36 years and I have one older brother, Martin. Martin has been married for four years and last year his wife, Julie, gave birth to my precious baby niece, Emily Lynn. In fact, Emily was born the night I returned from filming The Amazing Race.
I attended college at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX and earned a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies while minoring in Early Childhood Education. I was an active member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and served as President my senior year. I was also active in Order of Omega, Intramurals, and served as an Admissions Ambassador for my campus.
Since graduating college in May 1997, I have taught math at Horace Mann Junior School in Baytown, TX. Also, I have coached volleyball, basketball, and track. The teaching profession has allowed me much time to do what I love to do most: TRAVEL. Because I visited most of the Continental United States in my youth, I have made a special effort to visit new places. In the last 5 years, I have backpacked Europe, cruised Alaska, snorkeled in Hawaii, studied Spanish in Costa Rica, and The Amazing Race gave me the opportunity to experience Africa. I am very interested in exploring Austaralia in the near future.
Besides traveling, I enjoy camping, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with friends. I also enjoy black/white photography and writing, specifically writing about the humorous events that always seem to occur during my own journeys. I also spend time revising and accomplishing activities on my special list: 100 THINGS TO DO IN MY LIFETIME....I love to cross things out after I have done them!
